Three members of the Blackadders’ Employment Law team, Simon Allison, Jack Boyle and Andrew Wallace, have decided to take on the 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend
This challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowden) all within the space of just 24 hours.
Of course, they are doing it for a worthy cause which will hopefully provide them with the required motivation to conquer all 3 peaks. The trio are raising money for the Tayside Health Fund.
Andrew Wallace, the youngest member of the team explained, “The motivation behind this madness is to raise money for the Tayside health fund, particularly the breast cancer care department at Ninewells Hospital. This is a department with which our families have all had dealings and have seen first-hand the great work that they do - this is our way of saying thanks for their work!”
Jo Allison – Simon’s sister – is a specialist in the breast cancer unit and is also involved in the challenge as she has volunteered to drive the “3 Geeks” to the locations.
Andrew continued, “I am sure there will be plenty of Twitter updates throughout the build-up and indeed as we take on the challenge. If anybody wants to be entertained by our escapades as we shed tears and tantrums then follow the hashtag #3Peaks3Geeks. Any morale support would be greatly appreciated!”
They will start the climb at Mount Snowden, at 9pm before making their way up to tackle Scafell Pike, finishing with the unenviable task of scaling Ben Nevis. Then they will be hitting the pubs in Fort William for a few well-earned pints.
There is a page available to sponsor Andrew, Simon and Jack as they look to conquer the 3 peaks in just 24 hours. If you would like to offer any donation to this cause – please visit:
