Bilfinger invests in new SNS base

Oil and gas services contrator Bilfinger Salamis UK has invested in a base in Great Yarmouth to further support its Southern North Sea clients.

The company, which provides integrated, multi-disciplined support services and maintenance solutions to a range of clients, principally in the energy, petrochemical, industrial and utilities sectors, has moved its operational staff from its Lowestoft base to the newly refurbished Havenbridge House, and its distribution and warehouse facility to Bressay House at the Outer Harbour.

The company, part of internationally renowned engineering and services group Bilfinger, is headquartered in Aberdeen, and originally operated from a base in Great Yarmouth from 1981 to 1997, before moving to a larger facility on Pinbush Road in Lowestoft following continued growth.

Managing director Graham Hayward commented: “I very much look forward to welcoming clients to our new operating base in Great Yarmouth.

“The newly refurbished Havenbridge House facility is an ideal base for our SNS regional office with improved conference facilities and a large open plan office.

“Alongside our new logistics facility, the move puts our business close to both our customer offices and the East Anglian marine bases, delivering significant transport efficiencies for us and our clients.“
