Independent UK marketing and communications agency, BIG Partnership, has appointed Joel Bransfield as its commercial operations director as the agency continues to experience sustained growth while focusing on its integrated offering.

Joel, formerly of Mediaworks, has joined as commercial operations director and will help to drive ambitious growth plans for the agency’s marketing, design and digital services. Joel will also focus on service integration, as more clients seek a joined-up approach to their marketing strategies.

Having previously held the position of growth director at Mediaworks, Joel brings extensive business development expertise as well as a proven track-record in providing clients with data-driven campaigns that deliver impactful results.

Speaking of his new appointment and his commitment to providing effective campaigns, Joel said: “Businesses need to be confident in their marketing investment and executing campaigns that are devised from data and audience insight is paramount. In doing so, we can track actual consumer changes to buying patterns, attitudes and behaviours, as well as driving real-time business outcomes for corporate clients.

“I am looking forward to working with the wider team to explore how we can best support new and existing clients.”

As part of its focus on retaining and recruiting the best possible talent, BIG recently confirmed several senior promotions including Gayle Grant as head of Aberdeen, Richard Crighton as head of energy, and Shona Hendry and Jenni Bamford as head of PR in Aberdeen and Manchester respectively. Fraser Paterson also joined the agency as head of public affairs.

“Through Joel’s appointment, we will be increasing the execution of campaigns that span the breadth of the marketing ecosystem. We have everything under one roof meaning we can be flexible, agile and our clients can access a range of high-quality services.”

Joel’s appointment reinforces BIG’s commitment to investing in its people and providing clients with a compelling integrated marketing service including PR, social media, SEO, PPC, public affairs, brand and design.

Barr continued: “"Through continued investment, we have evolved from offering standalone services to specialising in the integration of these disciplines, creating vibrant and highly effective campaigns. We are now equipped to engage clients from the inception of their brand, guiding them through strategy, messaging, design and PR, and, as a true independent agency, I am confident that we provide something unique in the marketplace."

BIG partnership has offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester and boasts an impressive roster of clients including Aldi Scotland, George at ASDA, Pall Mall Medical, Loch Lomond Whisky and Loganair.

Rob McCann, Head of Manchester Office at BIG Partnership said: “This is an exciting time at BIG, we are securing accounts that require a rounded approach and use the range of expertise we have in-house. These briefs are challenging us to think holistically about our campaigns and the various touch points a consumer, decision maker or stakeholder engages at and while we are very well versed and equipped to respond to these briefs, Joel’s appointment gives a focus to our efforts.”
