Befriend a Child is set to host their annual golf day on Thursday, August 29 at the prestigious Deeside Golf Course.
The Aberdeen based charity is appealing to Aberdeen Grampian Chamber of Commerce members to fill their last remaining 4-ball team for the event.
Sponsoring the event as Eagle sponsor is Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) with Zenith Energy Ltd joining as Birdie Sponsor.
Katie Kyle, head of fundraising and marketing, said: “It is teeing up to be a great day with many local corporates and businesses already taking part. We have just one 4 ball space remaining, and we’d love to offer this out to Aberdeen Grampian Chamber of Commerce members.”
The day will begin with an opportunity to meet fellow teams over breakfast rolls and refreshments before your allocated tee time. Your team of four will play one of the best inland courses in Scotland nestled on the banks of the River Dee, thereafter you will end the day with a delicious BBQ and a prize giving.
Katie continued: “We hope to raise as much as we can to continue our vital support to local children and their families living in challenging life circumstances. It’s a great annual event to get involved in with limited sponsorships also available. We would love to hear from you!”
Befriend a Child supports children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire through 1:1 and group befriending, mentoring programmes and projects. Over the years Befriend a Child's provision of programmes and projects has grown and today the charity supports approximately 250 children annually.
Children can be referred to Befriend a Child for several reasons such as a lack of confidence or self-esteem, social isolation, lack of a positive role model and substance misuse in the family.
