Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland has received the maximum 5-star rating in the new Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey.
The housebuilder - which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes - has received the top 5-star rating from its customers for 16 years in a row - far longer than any other major housebuilder.
The number of stars awarded is based on customer responses to the question "would you recommend your builder to a friend?”. Over 90% of customers confirmed that they would by answering yes.
The HBF New Homes Survey is one of the largest of its kind in the country, with around 50,000 people who have recently bought a new-build home taking part. The simple 1-5 star rating system was developed to give customers an easy to view ranking of which housebuilders have the most satisfied customers.

Neil Jefferson, chief executive of the Home Builders Federation, said: “This year’s survey results highlight the industry’s absolute commitment to delivering high levels of customer service, and compare favourably to satisfaction levels seen in any other sectors or products.
"Customers are the ultimate judges of performance and so receiving such high scores based on their feedback alone is a significant achievement. These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire home-building workforce, from on-site teams to the boardroom."

Alison Condie, regional managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland, said: “To once again receive a 5-star rating is a true reflection of how much we care about our customers and the extra mile we go to ensure they are happy. Providing high-quality homes and excellent customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so it’s fantastic to see that so many of our customers would recommend us to others.”
The new 5-star rating follows Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ continued success at the NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards. Often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry, the competition sees more than 11,000 site managers entered each year. Last year, Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ site managers won 89 Pride in the Job Quality Awards - more than any other housebuilder, for a record 20th consecutive year.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes is currently building a range of high-quality new homes throughout Scotland from Inverness to the Central Belt, including new properties on offer at DWH @ St Andrews, Findrassie and Barratt and David Wilson’s Cornhill Village.
