Leading international infrastructure group Balfour Beatty has recently confirmed new senior leadership roles that are responsible for leading the delivery of major SSEN Pathway to 2030 framework projects in the Aberdeenshire region.
Scott Geddes has recently been promoted to operations director with Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution based in Westhill.
Scott will oversee Balfour Beatty PT&D’s portfolio of work in the North-east of Scotland for design, construction and commissioning on major substation, underground cabling and overhead line projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Scott has built an extensive career in project management and electrical engineering in the North-east of Scotland over the past 20 years, joining Balfour Beatty in 2023, and is an alumni of both Peterhead Academy and Robert Gordon University.
To lead on upcoming works with SSEN on the Asti Framework at the Netherton Hub near Peterhead, George Young has been promoted to director of operations – energy, within Balfour Beatty’s regional Scotland business based in Crimond, Aberdeenshire.
George rejoined Balfour Beatty in 2022, having previously worked with the business for over 27 years in his first spell with Balfour Beatty, and will be responsible for all construction works within the Netherton Hub as well as the convertor station works in the Isle of Lewis.
