Leading
international infrastructure group Balfour Beatty has expanded its presence in
the North-east of Scotland as part of continued investment in the region.
This
year Balfour Beatty has been appointed onto major SSEN Pathway to 2030
framework projects and will deliver schemes in the Aberdeenshire region which
will upgrade onshore electricity transmission infrastructure and support
Scottish and UK governments to meet their renewable energy and climate change
targets.
Balfour
Beatty has a long history of delivering major infrastructure projects in the
North-east of Scotland, in recent years completing transformation works at
Union Terrace Gardens, extension works at Aberdeen International Airport, joint
venture partner in the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) as well as
constructing a new 400kv substation completed in Peterhead last year.
Balfour
Beatty currently employs over 1,900 staff across Scotland and upcoming works in
the North-east of Scotland will see the business increase considerably over the
upcoming years ahead.
To
support the expansion, Balfour Beatty has recently opened a new project office
based in Crimond.
As
part of Balfour Beatty’s business commitment to the Social Enterprise Scotland
‘Buy Social Pledge’, office furniture for the new office was sourced from local
charity Somebody Cares who supplied high end second hand furniture including
all desks, chairs, under-counter storage units and meeting room desks and
chairs.
In
addition, Balfour Beatty has expanded the existing Westhill office, extending
into the first floor of the office located in Abercrombie Court in Westhill.

Beatty has a number of site and office-based career opportunities including
