The Independent Reviewer examining the circumstances surrounding the death of Bailey Gwynne will be available to speak with anyone who has relevant information to offer the review.
Andrew Lowe is offering to meet those with information on Tuesday June 21 in Aberdeen city centre, and meeting slots are to be offered on a first come-first served basis.
Members of the public should email Mr Lowe by Monday June 20 at 10am stating their name, a contact phone number, address and, the nature of the information in one or two sentences.
Mr Lowe is interested in any information the public might have on both the circumstances surrounding Bailey’s death as well as any lessons that might be learned by the agencies which commissioned the review.
Mr Lowe was appointed in March as the Independent Reviewer to lead the ‘Independent multi-agency review into the circumstances surrounding the death of Bailey Gwynne’.
The principal public agencies with an interest in the issues raised by the case announced their intention to commission an independent review following the tragic death at Cults Academy in October 2015 and the conclusion of the trial in the High Court in Aberdeen on Monday 7 March 2016,.
The agencies together wish to identify any lessons that can be learnt to inform future practice.
The outcomes of the review will be published in September 2016 and will also be shared with all appropriate agencies.
