Last week, the AV One Solutions team attended Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025, the world’s largest AV and systems integration exhibition, held in Barcelona.

With over 1,600 exhibitors and more than 85,000 attendees, the event showcased the latest advancements in audio, video, collaboration, and workplace technology.

From AI-powered video conferencing to sustainable digital signage, the innovations on display give insight into the future trends of workplace technology.

Grant MacLean, business development manager at AV One Solutions, said: "This was my third year at ISE and I continue to be amazed at the sheer size and scale of the exhibition.

"Each year ISE continues to grow, showcasing an incredible range of innovative technology. The applications stretch across multiple industries from offshore energy control rooms to emergency response centres, from immersive retail environments to future-ready workplaces.

"Businesses of all sizes continue to adopt AV solutions that improve collaboration, enhance communication, and create more engaging, interactive spaces. As the industry continues to evolve, the focus is on integration, user experience, and sustainability, ensuring that technology not only enhances how we work but also adapts seamlessly to different environments and industries."

Here are some of the team's key takeaways from ISE 2025:

1. Smarter video conferencing for remote collaboration

Video conferencing technology is evolving rapidly, with manufacturers focusing on AI-driven automation, single and multi-camera options, and intelligent audio solutions for all meeting room sizes.

The team met with industry leaders including Logitech, Yealink, Neat, Poly, and Cisco, who demonstrated solutions for everything from huddle rooms to large boardrooms.

Key innovations included:

  • AI-powered auto-framing and speaker tracking to enhance virtual meetings
  • All-in-one conferencing systems reducing complexity and setup time
  • Intelligent noise suppression for clearer, distraction-free calls

Organisations investing in seamless, user-friendly video conferencing solutions will benefit from more efficient meetings and better remote collaboration.

2. The rise of control room solutions

Control rooms are becoming smarter, more connected, and easier to manage, supporting industries such as energy, emergency response, and corporate operations.

Cyviz showcased its proprietary controller, which allows non-technical users to manage complex control rooms with ease. With high-resolution displays and real-time data integration, these solutions are transforming how businesses monitor operations.

From offshore control hubs to crisis management centres, organisations can improve decision-making, collaboration, and efficiency by integrating intelligent control room technology.

3. Audio innovation – The invisible speaker

Businesses are prioritising discreet, high-quality audio solutions that blend seamlessly into office environments.

Sonance stood out with its completely invisible speaker solutions, allowing businesses to install speakers, subs, and amplifiers inside walls and ceilings, ensuring high-performance sound without compromising interior aesthetics.

Whether designing boardrooms, hotels, or retail spaces, companies can now create premium audio environments that enhance customer and employee experiences without visible hardware.

4. Digital signage goes sustainable

Businesses are moving away from traditional printed signage in favour of eco-friendly, digital alternatives that offer flexibility and lower energy consumption.

Samsung’s E-Paper Signage stood out as an energy-efficient solution, digitising traditional print displays for offices, retail spaces, and transport hubs. With ultra-low energy usage and easy content updates, it’s a sustainable way to enhance communication.

As more companies strive to meet sustainability goals, switching to low energy consumption digital signage solutions can reduce waste, cut costs, and allow real-time updates to keep customers and employees informed.

Grant went on: “ISE 2025 reaffirmed that the technology available to us continues to evolve rapidly and that businesses of all sizes can benefit from smarter, more efficient AV solutions. Whether it’s AI-powered video conferencing, invisible audio systems, advanced control rooms, or sustainable signage, the future of workplace technology is all about seamless integration, smarter automation, and sustainability.

“At AV One Solutions, we’re committed to helping businesses in Aberdeen and beyond stay ahead of these trends. If you’re looking to improve and future-proof your workplace technology, get in touch, we’d love to share more insights from ISE and explore how these tech innovations could benefit your business.”
