AtkinsRéalis is proud to celebrate the success of the Tillydrone Affordable Housing development, which has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the Aberdeen Society of Architects Design Awards dinner held last Friday.
The project received both the Design Award in the Housing category as well as the Project of the Year award for 2025.
The Tillydrone Housing development has been recognised for its exceptional design and positive impact on the community, providing sustainable social housing. This achievement underscores the collaborative efforts and dedication of all partners involved in the project.
"We are delighted to see the Tillydrone Housing Programme receive such high recognition," said Tom McDougall, director at AtkinsRéalis.
“We are proud to have been a trusted partner with Aberdeen City Council, our valued client, whose long-term vision has been instrumental in guiding this project. This achievement is truly a team effort, and we are grateful to our partners and the community for their unwavering support and collaboration."
The development, which is part of the Aberdeen City Council New Build Housing Programme, which is managed by AtkinsRéalis, was designed by the multidisciplinary team of Oberlanders Architects, Goodson Associates, KJ Tait Engineers, Atelier Ten, and Rankin Fraser, and was constructed by CHAP Group.
This project is designed to deliver sustainability, innovation, and excellence in residential architecture for varying needs of tenants and achieves the gold standard.
Hugh Ransom, associate director at AtkinsRéalis, said: “The success of the Aberdeen City Council housing programme is further demonstrated by another development at Summerhill, Lang Stracht, also being shortlisted in the Housing category.”
