Robert Gordon’s College, one of Scotland’s leading independent schools in the heart of Aberdeen, is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy of the school at a pivotal time in its development.
Founded in 1750, Robert Gordon’s College is an all-through independent school, providing education for children aged 3 to 18. With an annual turnover of £22million, RGC has 1,500 pupils across its Nursery, Junior, and Senior Schools, and employs over 400 staff. The Schoolhill campus extends to 1.5 hectares with a variety of buildings of mixed construction and age, including ‘A’ listed and is complemented by a 39 acre sports ground at Countesswells, which hosts a vibrant sports programme.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key figure in shaping the school’s long-term strategy, ensuring its financial health and sustainability, and supporting RGC's mission as a charitable institution. Reporting to the Head of College, you will oversee all financial operations and have a crucial role in guiding the school through a period of significant change in the independent schools sector.
