OCTG specialist, Apex Tubulars, has grown its close-knit team with the appointment of Lewis Grant as sales development representative, to support ongoing customer demand for UK and global projects.
With more than 13 years of experience in engineering and technician roles within the marine and oil and gas industries, Lewis’ new role will focus on quotes, tenders, logistics, business development and arranging the manufacturing materials.
The appointment follows increased demand for Apex’s services, which specialise in supplying premium downhole casing, tubing and accessories for the global energy industry. Its products span a variety of applications, such as offshore wells, deepwater wells, onshore wells, carbon capture, geothermal, coal bed methane, shale gas, and gas storage projects.
Lewis commented: “I’m excited to have joined Apex Tubulars and explore a different side of the energy industry, adding to my experience in both hands-on and office-based roles.
“Previously, as an offshore field service technician, I worked with products that APEX specialises in, so I’ve got a good insight into what happens offshore on the rig which directly supports my ability to guide our customers.
“The team has been so welcoming and it’s been a fantastic learning experience so far. Apex’s commitment to 24/7 customer care, backed by its extensive global network, allows us to respond to some of the most complex project requirements. I’m looking forward to contributing to this success and seeing how I can make an impact too.”
Now in its 40th year, Apex Tubulars has grown from its North-east based roots to serve clients worldwide - including Africa, Australasia, South Americas, the Caspian Region, Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, Norway, Singapore, and the USA.
With more than 100 years of combined experience, the small yet dynamic team continues to provide the energy sector with a personal and efficient service, globally.
