One of the pillars of the north-east business community will share advice from his many years’ experience in business with fellow entrepreneurs as part of a special event to be held in Aberdeen.
Mike Brown, senior partner at Anderson Anderson & Brown (AAB), will be the guest speaker at a Meet the Entrepreneur event. Organised by Entrepreneurs Scotland, the evening will chart Mike’s entrepreneurial journey from helping found AAB in 1990, along with Bobby Anderson and Sheena Anderson, to the present day.
The event, supported by Elevator UK, will be held at Barclays Bank, Union Plaza on Wednesday, November 23 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. It is being sponsored by Barclays, Precise Communications and SBNN.
A qualified chartered accountant, Mike has gained considerable experience in both professional practice and industry and in 2007 achieved the ICAEW corporate finance qualification. He has been instrumental in several substantial corporate finance transactions which led to him being named Dealmaker of the Year in 2008 at the Scottish Business Insider Deals and Dealmakers Awards.
Mike has also received lifetime achievement honours at the 2015 Deals and Dealmakers Awards and at the 2016 Elevator Awards. He is also a long-standing board director of Elevator.
Mike Brown said: “I’m pleased to have been asked to share my career journey with the next generation of entrepreneurs here in Aberdeen. We have an abundance of great talent in this region and events such as these can play a small, albeit important role, in supporting people realise their full potential.”
Jai Aenugu of Entrepreneurs Scotland said: “We’re thrilled to have someone of the calibre of Mike speaking at our next event and are extremely grateful that he has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule. I’m sure his business story will serve as great motivation to the other entrepreneurs in attendance and can hopefully inspire some to follow along the same path.”
Tickets for the event are priced at £15 each and available to buy from Eventbrite.
