Local family support charity Home-Start Aberdeen has once again received generous support from the team at Anasuria Operating Company Limited (AOC) through their AOCares Christmas campaign, now in its second successful year.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Anasuria’s staff team, Christmas gifts have been donated to children from over 50 families across Aberdeen. These donations will bring festive cheer to many local children who might otherwise have gone without this Christmas.
Cameron McCready, chief executive at Home-Start Aberdeen, shared his gratitude: “Thank you to everyone from Anasuria who took part in this appeal. We’re incredibly thankful and overwhelmed by the generosity, thoughtfulness, and organisation from the team at AOC. This appeal will let us bring extra joy and magic to what can be a dark and difficult time of the year for many families.”
Richard Beattie, CEO, Anasuria Operating Company, explained the importance of the campaign: “Not everyone looks forward to Christmas; it can be a tough period for many in multiple ways. We’re delighted to play a part in helping and we hope our gifts bring a little festive cheer to children on Christmas morning. Thank you to the Home-Start Aberdeen team for all that they do to help local families.”
The AOCares campaign was first launched in 2023 and has continued to grow, reflecting the Anasuria team’s commitment to supporting their local community. The campaign shines a light on the challenges many families in Aberdeen face, including financial pressures, social isolation, and health difficulties.
Home-Start Aberdeen, which has been supporting families across the city for over 30 years, plays a vital role in providing emotional and practical assistance to those with young children. By matching families with home-visiting volunteers, the charity ensures tailored support for families when they need it most.
The partnership between AOC and Home-Start Aberdeen highlights the positive impact that local businesses and their teams can make in their community, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year.
