An evening with Dave Cormack

An entrepreneur’s journey to creating $1bn in shareholder value, to be held at the King’s College Conference Centre, University of Aberdeen, on Tuesday, November 6.

In this lecture Dave Cormack will explore what it took to lead three start-up software companies through rapid growth, selling them for a combined $1bn to companies quoted on both NASDAQ and NYSE stock exchanges.

With a view to understanding the habits and traits of a successful entrepreneur, and lessons-learned, professor Canales will delve into Dave’s upbringing in Aberdeen, the family move to London in 1986 for business reasons, and the subsequent move to Atlanta, USA in 1995 as a result of the sale of his first start-up software venture.

Dave Cormack is the chairman of Curve Dental Software, and a non-executive director of WebPT Software. He has 36 years of experience in the applications software industry, creating $1bn of shareholder value through the sale of three start-up ventures. Dave lives in the United States, is an executive-in-residence and advisor to Battery Ventures, a non-executive director of Aberdeen Football Club, a Trustee of the Cormack Family Charitable Foundation, and an Ambassador for Children International.
