In 2024, Bucksburn-based FIS Chemicals established a manufacturing capability in Houston, Texas - a move that helps them deliver efficient supply for clients across the Americas.
FIS chief executive officer Kenny Woods and International BD Director Kevin Mands visited the global energy hub of Houston, Texas to connect with an array of new and established clients. During the trip, they visited their newly established manufacturing facility, met the team and inspected the impressive facilities.
This new manufacturing capability in the USA is a key piece in a wider international expansion strategy that now offers FIS customers in regions like the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and Latin America (LATAM) better access to an ever-expanding range of specialist chemical products - a move that aligns with the company’s ‘Smarter Chemistry’ ethos.
With US-based manufacturing now in operation, FIS clients across the Americas can order at a bulk supply level, offering economy, convenience and savings on packaging costs — and also heavily reducing carbon emissions that would otherwise be required on shipping from their North Sea manufacturing facilities in Aberdeenshire.
