Aberdeen and Northern (Estates) Limited and Thainstone Events are stepping up to support Inverurie’s prestigious running event, Run Garioch, as joint event programme sponsors for 2016.
The announcement was made at the Run Garioch launch on Tuesday, October 27 at Meldrum Academy to an audience of keen supporters including the Provost Hamish Vernal, partners, sponsors, charities, schools and athletes.
The two companies which are part of the ANM Group - one of the UK’s largest producer-owned farming, food and finance businesses – are both based at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie delivering services to the local community including the provision of rural property services in addition to event management and catering.
James Murphy, Head of Aberdeen and Northern (Estates) Limited, said: “We are delighted to team up with Thainstone Events to support one of Aberdeenshire's largest sporting events for the community. Some of my colleagues will also take part in the run for some healthy competition on the day.”
Graham Fryers, General Manager of Thainstone Events, said: “Thainstone Events is sponsoring the Run Garioch event programme for the third year running – reaching over 3,000 runners and their families. The event, now in its 11th year, has grown in stature and numbers and we are always keen to pledge our support for local events to benefit communities and individuals as a whole.”
Run Garioch 2016 is now open for entries with a brand new website at www.rungarioch.co.uk – the event is set to take place on Sunday, March 20, 2016.
