Eastern Airways is re-introducing a Flybe franchise service linking Aberdeen with Cardiff.
The UK regional airline will offer a daily service from Aberdeen to the Welsh capital from 11 November 2019.
With 10 flights a week, services will depart Aberdeen, Monday to Thursday, at 11.55am, and at 10.55am on Fridays. Return services, Monday-Friday, leave Cardiff at 10.20am.
Eastern Airways has been operating flights from Aberdeen since 1997.
Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ general manager Commercial and Operations, said: “We are re-establishing a previous air link from Aberdeen to Cardiff aimed at the energy sector and growing leisure market, which will save time compared to lengthy ground transport options.”
Steven Marshall, head of Airline Marketing & Development at Aberdeen International Airport, said: “Eastern Airways has served Aberdeen for over 20 years during which time it has operated vital domestic routes. We’re really pleased to see the return of the daily Cardiff service which will re-establish the North-east’s links with the Welsh capital.”
The Aberdeen – Cardiff flights will operate via Newcastle with on board transit. All flights will be bookable and on sale at flybe.com from November 8.
On board Eastern Airways operated flights, passengers are offered a full range of complimentary drinks and snacks. Regular customers can also benefit from discounted route passes offering savings of up to 40%.
Yorkshire and Humber based Eastern Airways was formed in 1997. As well as operating scheduled flights, the airline also specialises in providing customer-focused charter services for the energy industry, corporate and sports contracts and ad-hoc charters.
