AGR announces new lead for its UK Consultancy business

AGR has appointed Steve Combe to manage its Aberdeen-based manpower consultancy business.

Steve has been in the oil and gas recruitment world in Aberdeen for around 10 years, in a number of roles across a variety of consultancies in the city.

He first joined AGR in 2010 and has since worked his way up through a number of senior positions before being asked to take the helm of the business this summer.

Steve’s immediate focus will be on strengthening the consultancy’s relationships with its clients and ensuring that AGR remain well informed and placed to add value to their clients’ businesses.

Ian Burdis, EVP of the UK and West Africa, said: “Steve has been with us for a number of years and is absolutely the right person to lead our consultancy through the ever changing oil and gas environment. I look forward to seeing the UK business grow under his leadership.”

AGR Consultancy provides high profile manpower to the oil and gas industry around the world covering the entire spectrum of disciplines both onshore and offshore. AGR has placed over 3,000 consultants worldwide for over 180 clients in 61 countries. The unit has hubs in Aberdeen, Stavanger, Perth, Dubai and associated offices in Houston.

The global consultancy team is currently delivering drilling and well maintenance manpower for projects in South America, Africa and the Norwegian and UK North Sea.
