AECC’s Sales Manager Shortlisted for North-east Award

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) Sales Manager for Associations, Steven Daun, has been shortlisted at this year’s Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards (ACSTA) in the category for Regional Young Ambassador.

The awards, which aims to celebrate and recognise excellence in the hospitality and tourism sectors throughout Aberdeen City and Shire will see the winners announced at an awards dinner on Friday, November 27 at Ardoe House Hotel and Spa. The winners from the evening and will then go on to represent the North-east of Scotland at the Scottish Thistle Tourism Awards next year, at which the nation’s best will be recognised.

Steven has a vast amount of experience and has worked in the industry since 2008 and it is through his working life that he has developed a passion and flare for selling the city as a destination of choice. Since joining AECC, Steven has progressed through the ranks to his current position as Sales Manager where he is responsible for the associations market at the venue and plays a vital part at not just selling the venue to his market but selling the city of Aberdeen as a destination host.

As well as being extremely hard working and passionate, Steven has played an integral part in helping to bring a vast number of international conferences to the city in his six year career with AECC. In the period from April 2014 to March 2015, Steven helped to secure 14 conferences for the city, in total attracting an over 5500 additional delegates to the city.
