Aberdein Considine has appointed four newly qualified solicitors and hired seven new trainees as part of its wider investment programme in 2018.
Both the new solicitors and trainees are spread across the firm’s offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Banchory, Stonehaven and Newcastle.
The newly appointed solicitors have completed their two year traineeships, specialising in a range of disciplines, including Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment Law, Family Law, Conveyancing and Banking Litigation.
The trainees, who are now in their first year with Aberdein Considine, have been building their practical skills and experience in a variety of areas across the firm and are expected to qualify during 2020.
The new solicitors are Danny Anderson and Jamie Guyan (both Aberdeen), Megan Hannah (Glasgow) and Stevie Kelman (Stonehaven and Banchory).
The trainees are Paul Flecher-Herd, Amy Brown (both Edinburgh), Hazel MacGregor, Laura McMillan, Sophie Brown (all Aberdeen), Scott Bell (Stonehaven) and Sarah Lambert (Newcastle).
The investment in new talent has been made alongside the recruitment of a number of new Partners, Associates and solicitors in the Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Lender Services and Private Client teams.
Jamie Guyan, solicitor in the firm’s head office in Aberdeen said: “Choosing the law as a career was always something I’d considered since high school and it’s great to finally be in a position to be helping clients.
Aberdein Considine provides great support and its size means it’s big enough to be involved in a wide variety of complex cases, but also small enough to get to know the whole firm.”
Jacqueline Law, managing partner, Aberdein Considine said: “We’re extremely proud of our newly qualified solicitors who have all demonstrated incredible energy, enthusiasm and professionalism during their traineeships.
Our trainees are also of the highest calibre, and it’s reassuring to know that there is a great deal of talent coming through to help support our clients as we continue to grow.
Whilst we’re also extremely pleased to have hired a number of highly respected and experienced legal professionals throughout the year, investing in the future is vital and we look forward to supporting the progress of our trainees, and providing opportunities for many more next year.”
