Aberdeenshire Council Ranger Service has launched their programme of summer events which includes a great variety of activities for all the family.
Sarah Gosden, Ranger Service Co-ordinator, said “the team has put together an impressive programme of events, with opportunities for everyone to get outdoors, be more active, learn something new and do something worthwhile.”
Events are happening from ‘mountain to sea’ - you can get up close and personal with bats and moths or go for a cliff top walk and join in a seabird watch. Find out about the variety of life in Aberdeenshire and learn how to help local wildlife and pollinators in your own garden.
To celebrate the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design you may wish to take a walk through time or discover architectural gems on your doorstep.
There are also a large number of events for families of all ages and sizes, and with most events being free of charge it’s the perfect way to get out and about.
There really is a wide variety of events in this year’s programme and the Rangers Service is linking with the Energetica Summer Festival to ensure that there is something for everyone.
The programme runs from April to September and can be accessed here www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/rangersummerevents. Paper copies are available from libraries, council offices and Tourist Information Centres across Aberdeenshire.
You can receive monthly updates with information on events and activities directly to your inbox by emailing bennachie.warden@aberdeenshire.gov.uk and ask to join the mailing list.
