New marketing agency Arch 35 was today launched in Aberdeen, promising a fresh approach to helping city-wide businesses with all their marketing support needs.

Arch 35 Marketing has been set up by Darren Cadger with the support of local business stalwarts Kevin Wyness and Mike Charles, co-founders and directors of city-based Escone Solutions.

An integrated support applications and marketing analyst with Escone for three years, Darren said that Arch 35’s business model is very much one of a customer-led experience, cutting through the jargon with clear and concise messaging.

Clients will be offered a variety of services including strategy development, content creation and management, digital marketing, and marketing analytics and reporting. He will also offer marketing support to existing teams and specialised campaigns.

Darren, who graduated from the Robert Gordon University with a degree in International Business Management in 2021, was studying for a postgraduate qualification in International Marketing when he met Kevin and Mike.

“Kev and Mike were taking one of our classes, explaining what it is they do at Escone, when I found out they were looking for a work placement student for four weeks, so I applied and was accepted,” he said.

“From there, I was appointed a business analyst due to my financial background. During the three years working there, I’ve also been helping with Escone’s marketing, all of which led to the creation of Arch 35.

“Marketing terminology can be quite overbearing when it comes to B2B and at times there is not the same ‘customer relationship’ between agencies. I see myself becoming very much a part of the client’s team, easily accessible and offering a customer-led experience.

"With the wide industry experience of Kev, Mike and fellow co-founder Vince Wood, Arch 35 is open to working with businesses of all sizes. I’m very excited to be at the forefront of this exciting new venture, helping companies achieve the growth they seek.”

Born in Limerick in Ireland, Darren moved to Peterhead where his father is from when he was just months old. Following apprenticeships at both Score Group PLC & Scotia Homes, Darren attended Aberdeen College to study business, before being accepted to study International Business Management at the Robert Gordon University.

During his studies, he completed a year-long work placement in the commercial finance department of Aker Solutions, and spent several months studying in Hanover, Germany as part of a university exchange programme.
