The multi-platinum selling Sugababes are to play at an exclusive music gala evening at The Chester Hotel organised by The JEllie Foundation in aid of local children’s charities.
The Sugababes achieved six UK number one singles including ‘Freak Like Me’, ‘Round, Round’ and ‘About You Now’ in the 2000s and even had a limited-edition Barbie collection created in their likeness. Just 300 tickets for this special, intimate fundraising evening on Friday 7 March are available online now.
The event, part of The JEllie Foundation’s fundraising initiatives, will launch a month-long programme which aim to raise funds to support children’s charities across the north-east. Since its inception, The Signature Food Festival has raised over £1.5 million for local causes.
Graham Wood, co-founder of The JEllie Foundation said: “Our goal has always been to bring world-class experiences to Aberdeen while making a tangible difference in the local community. The Sugababes guarantee a fully immersive performance, and this event allows guests to enjoy outstanding entertainment and fine dining while directly supporting vital charities that provide essential services for children and their families across Aberdeen City and Shire.”
The Sugababes will be joined at The JEllie Foundation Music Gala Evening by internationally renowned ‘strolling’ band The Gypsy Queens whose fans include Sir Elton John, Beyonce, David Beckham and Robert de Niro. They’ll play from their extensive repertoire from The Beach Boys to Miley Cyrus. The ‘UK’s best party band’ and returning favourites MadHen will also appear with their high energy performance and brilliant stage presence.
