Set to take place at the Inverurie Whisky Shop on Friday, December 6, 2024, this festive tasting promises to help participants find the perfect wine pairings for their Christmas feasts.
Whether you're planning a traditional turkey dinner or something more unconventional, this event is designed to guide you through a selection of exceptional wines to complement your holiday menu. Anna from Aberdeen Wine School will lead a two-hour interactive session featuring seven handpicked wines, including red, white, sparkling, and a sweet dessert option such as Port.
Each wine will be paired with a selection of fine cheeses from the Gourmet Cheese Co., ensuring a memorable culinary experience. Attendees will leave equipped with expert notes to help recreate the magic at home.
Aberdeen Wine School is run by Anna Ferrier and was launched in August 2022. Anna has worked in the wine industry for over nine years and holds the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Diploma as well as being a certified WSET educator. She is looking to bring the world of wine closer to both novices and experts by learning and tasting a wide variety of styles, covering wine producing countries from across the globe. She is working closely with other local businesses and venues to run her events.
