Aberdeen Wine School has teamed up with local business Faffless to host two exclusive wine tasting events, offering wine enthusiasts the chance to explore the rich and diverse world of wine.
The first event, World of Wine: Discover Italy, will take place on Thursday, November 7, at 7pm.
This tasting experience will guide participants through Italy’s most renowned wine regions, including the "big three" - Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto - known for producing iconic wines such as Chianti, Barolo, and Valpolicella.
Attendees may also discover wines from other exciting regions like Puglia, Sicily, and Campania, each offering distinctive flavors and styles.
The second event, World of Wine: Tour of France, is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, at 7pm.
This session will offer a comprehensive overview of France’s key wine-producing regions, exploring which grape varieties and styles are produced in each area.
Participants will sample wines made from classic French grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris.

Aberdeen Wine School is run by Anna Ferrier and was launched in August 2022. Anna has worked in the wine industry for over nine years and holds the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Diploma as well as being a certified WSET educator.
She is looking to bring the world of wine closer to both novices and experts by learning and tasting a wide variety of styles, covering wine producing countries from across the globe.
She is working closely with other local businesses and venues to run her events.
