Gail Henderson, CEO of Aberdeen-based software company DEV4 Online Ltd, has been named a winner of a prestigious award from Barclays Eagle Labs in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The award recognises outstanding achievements, contributions, and impact as an entrepreneur.
A skilled software engineer, Gail began her career working with companies that supported the oil and gas sector, delivering digital projects for some of the industry’s largest operators. This experience gave her a solid foundation in building robust, user-focused software solutions tailored to complex industrial needs.
Her expertise grew rapidly when she joined DEV4, where she helped deliver over 80 custom software solutions for energy and service companies – transforming and digitalising business processes across the region and beyond.
Now CEO of DEV4 Online Ltd, Gail continues to apply her technical skills as she leads the company through a period of growth. DEV4 designs and builds bespoke software for a growing client base, while also scaling its own product suite - Equi-Track and Stock-Track - cloud-based solutions designed to modernise equipment management and stock control for businesses.
Gail credits her success to a strong team, a commitment to listening closely to client needs, and a belief in the power of professional and collaborative networking. “Technology and business thrive when people support each other,” she says. “I’ve learned that surrounding yourself with the right people—both within your team and the wider business community - is the key to success.
