Aberdeen solicitor goes blue and yellow for charity neighbour

The Law Practice Solicitors & Estate Agents and its sister company, The Law Practice Leasing, will forgo its corporate colours today (Monday June 29, 2015).

Instead it will adopt blue and yellow to celebrate the 40th birthday of its neighbouring charity, Befriend A Child.

Efforts from the Holburn Street-based company include dressing in the Befriend A Child colours for the day, revamping its website in blue and yellow for the week and taking part in ‘de-clutter and donate,’ a recently launched campaign that encourages The Law Practice clients to do their bit for charity through having a clear out and donating unwanted items when moving home.

Margaret Waldron, principal solicitor and owner at The Law Practice, said: “Corporate social responsibility is important to the team and we’re delighted to be able to help our neighbouring charity. Befriend A Child is an incredible local cause and deserves to have awareness raised for the wonderful work it does.”

Lana Bambridge, development & resources manager at Befriend a Child, said, “Befriend a Child is incredibly grateful to The Law Practice for joining in our blue and yellow birthday celebrations. The Befriend a Child charity shop has already benefitted from an increase in donations since the launch of their ‘de-clutter and donate’ campaign, helping to boost sales and raise more funds towards our work in the local community.”

This effort from The Law Practices comes as part of principal solicitor Margaret Waldron’s plans to support ten individual local charities during 2015, her tenth year of business.
