Aberdeen Science Centre’s vision is to inspire, educate and enthuse people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM
To fulfil this vision, the Science Centre works under the guidance of a dedicated Board of Trustees – currently led by Dr Ken Skeldon from the University of Aberdeen – which includes individuals from Industry, Higher Education, Professional Organisations and Local Government.
This complementarity is key to Aberdeen Science Centre’s success and this is why the charity is currently seeking to expand this expertise by recruiting additional committed and experienced individuals.
Liz Hodge, Chief Executive at Aberdeen Science Centre said: “We are looking for four new trustees including an Honorary Treasurer with the necessary qualifications skills and experience for this position.”
“We are keen to hear from candidates with commercial focus, a strong interest in science and/or education, ideally with board experience to oversee governance and the delivery of our corporate strategy to achieve our ambitious vision and mission.”
