In October 2015 CHF Entertainment Ltd. rolled out a nationwide pre-school competition to find a talented primary school pupil to design their 2015 company Christmas card.
Working together with iChild, the education resource portal for teachers, CHF Entertainment Ltd. mailed out the competition to more than 40,000 schools.
The response was exceptional with 1000’s of entries received, but there could only be one winner and that huge acclaim goes to the very talented Elsa Han, aged 5 of Robert Gordon’s College, Aberdeen.
For her amazing design, our artistic pre-schooler has won a family ticket to see the new Milkshake! 2016 Tour, as well as winning a £250 voucher for art supplies for her school. Elsa also received her own set of printed Christmas cards delivered directly to her by none other than Pip the pup from CHF’s animated TV series Pip Ahoy! which currently airs daily on both Milkshake! and Cartoonito. As an extra treat Elsa, received a copy of the Pip Ahoy! Christmas Special DVD ahead of its release.
Jenny Johnstone, Commercial Director at CHF Entertainment said: “As an animation and creative company we feel it’s important to support and nurture Children’s creativity. The Christmas card competition seemed an ideal way to really engage with kids and, having personally looked through the 1000’s of entries, it appears to have truly captured their imagination.”
“Judging the winner was always going to be a difficult and we would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all the schools, pupils and those who entered through our Twitter and Facebook pages. We could only choose one winner, the vote had to be unanimous amongst the judges and it was agreed that Elsa’s design was the one”. Added Johnstone.
Miss Holdsworth, Teacher of Art commented: “When Jenny Johnstone from CHF Entertainment called to deliver the news that Elsa had won we were all thrilled. The standard of the Primary 1’s work for the competition was excellent and they were all excited to be designing Christmas Cards in November, although I had to re-enforce that it was still a long time until the 25th December!! They all knew Pip from the TV programme ‘Pip Ahoy’ and were all enthusiastically awaiting his arrival at Robert Gordon’s College.”
Mrs Mollie Mennie, Head of Robert Gordon’s Junior School added: "I am absolutely delighted that Elsa has won first prize in this National competition. The children in P1 had great fun designing their Christmas Cards."
