A leading local surveyor has said fresh momentum is returning to the local property market as homes in Aberdeen are selling at a faster rate.
Felicity Forbes-Davidson, partner at DM Hall Chartered Surveyors says the Granite City is now one of the best places in the UK to get on the property ladder.
“There’s a bit of buzz and positive feeling in the market right now,” she said. “People are putting their homes up for sale feeling confident they’ll sell, and hopefully sell relatively quickly. That in itself is quite nice.”
Aberdeen is one of the most affordable cities in the UK for first-time buyers compared to other cities due to lower mortgage-to-salary ratios.
