Fierce Beer is delighted to announce a new collaboration with local premier ice hockey team, Aberdeen Lynx.

‘Slapshot’ is a specially made co-branded pale lager which can be enjoyed throughout the Aberdeen Linx Ice Arena from September 7.

Brewed at Fierce HQ in Aberdeen, soft Scottish water provides the perfect base for a toasty malted barley character, while classic German hops deliver deft hints of pepper and citrus peel, before a snappy finish. Plus, like the Fierce Beer Year Round range, Slapshot is gluten-free and vegan!

Dave Grant, Fierce Beer founder and managing director said: It’s great to be able to establish another Aberdeen-based partnership that will celebrate the city and two fierce success stories coming together. We wish Aberdeen Lynx every success in their upcoming matches for the season – Go Cats!"

Launching September 7 for the first home game of the season, the 4.2% abv lager is sure to become a fan favourite, and to celebrate the special occasion Fierce Bar Aberdeen will be open for hosting pre game and also the official Slapshot after party.

Following the Lynx vs Kestrels match, the bar will be offering 10% discount to anyone visiting who shows their ticket (or season ticket) for the ice hockey. Members of the Lynx team will also be coming down to enjoy Slapshot cans, unwind post play and really get the after party started!

John Colley, Lynx chairman said: “I am incredibly proud of our partnership with Fierce Beer, which has led to the creation of Slapshot Beer. This collaboration goes beyond the rink and the brewery; it's a fusion of our shared passion for teamwork, resilience, and excellence. Slapshot Beer embodies the spirit of our club and the fierce determination we bring to every game. We're excited to share this with our fans and community, and we look forward to many more successful collaborations in the future."

Available via their online shop as individual can from today, on draft across the Fierce bars in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Manchester and throughout the Aberdeen Linx Ice Arena from September 7.
