Aberdeen Inspired is delighted to join forces with Fierce Beer to help make the new Aberdeen Beer Festival the toast of the Granite City.
The Business Improvement District will be a supporting partner with the city-based brewery, which is hosting the inaugural fest at the Music Hall on Saturday, April 12, next year.
It will feature Fierce plus 13 guest breweries showcasing their finest brews, along with some surprise offerings from outside the UK.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Fierce on this very welcome Aberdeen Beer Festival – which has already created a stir of excitement in the city.
“Fierce has a fearsome reputation as one of the top craft breweries in Scotland and has been gaining fans right across the UK with its award-winning beers. I know that reputation for quality and passion for beer will make the Aberdeen Beer Festival something to say cheers about.
“This exciting event will help attract people into the city centre not only for the festival, but also to enjoy the many other attractions to be found in the heart of Aberdeen. This is an event that ticks all the boxes for Aberdeen Inspired and we can’t wait to be part of it.”
Dave Grant, founder and MD of Fierce Beer, welcomed Aberdeen Inspired on board for the festival.
“Craft brewers collaborate with each other to produce exciting and fantastic beers, and we are sure this collaboration with Aberdeen Inspired will produce an outstanding Aberdeen Beer Festival – the first of many, we hope,” said Dave.
“Fierce is proud to present the festival as our way of giving back to Aberdeen for all the support the people of the city - our Fierce Family - gave us during the pandemic years and are still giving us today.
"We want to be part of the regeneration of the city centre and hope the Aberdeen Beer Festival will attract people into town, give a boost to the local economy and get out the message the Granite City is a thriving and vibrant place to be.
“All of that while offering a fun day that celebrates the craft of brewing and creates lasting memories for everyone who comes along.”
The Aberdeen Beer Festival will run on Saturday, April 12, with two sessions at the Music Hall, from 12.30pm to 5pm, then from 6pm to 10.30pm.
Entry will include a programme, collectible glass and a chance to speak to the brewers directly at a range of pop-up bars. The event will also see cider on offer, as well as local non-beer producers such as House Of Botanicals and Singularity Sauce.
