An award-winning Aberdeen hotel has held a special celebration in honour of its staff.
The Aberdeen Altens Hotel was recently named as one of the top hotels in Scotland at the Prestige Hotel awards, and the celebrations continued when the team marked having clocked up more than 400 years of service between them.
This remarkable figure includes no less than three employees who have worked at the venue for more than two decades each, and General Manager Kris Manship who has been at the hotel for ten years. As a department, the housekeeping staff alone have over 120 years’ service between them.

The four-star Aberdeen Altens Hotel was revealed as 2017 Hotel of the Year at Trend magazine’s Life With Style Awards which seek to celebrate the variety of entrepreneurs and innovative local businesses in the North-east of Scotland. It was also a finalist in the Most Hospitable Hotel category of last year’s Aberdeen City & Shire Tourism Awards.
Additionally, the location has featured consistently in the top ten hotels in Aberdeen on TripAdvisor for more than a year.
