Mac Recruit Group (MRG), a leading recruitment specialist in oil and gas, engineering and manufacturing, and more, is continuing its impressive growth trajectory, with the opening of its new Aberdeen office.
This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy and reinforces its commitment to the North-east market and the energy sector, particularly renewables.
Originally planned for 2022, the Aberdeen office opening experienced unforeseen delays but is now firmly on track for March. This new location will allow MRG to better serve its growing client base in the region and further solidify its presence in the global energy market.
Co-founder Tracy Collins, who was shortlisted for the Business Woman Scotland Top100 Women in Business, said: "It has always been an ambition of ours to have a presence in Aberdeen.
"Although much of our business is international, we are committed to reinvesting in Scotland. Aberdeen, being a hub for global energy operations, is crucial to our continued growth and allows us to better support both clients and candidates in this vital sector."
The Aberdeen office will be strategically located in Dyce near the city centre and Aberdeen Airport to facilitate easy access for clients and candidates.
MRG was formed in 2018, after 20 years combined experience within the recruitment industry, Tracy McGrath and Iain McBride decided to form their own recruitment business.
With its headquarters in Glasgow, 2024 saw MRG double its team size from eight to 16 members, while revenue surged by an impressive 580%.
The company also secured multiple accolades, including being named one of Scotland's fastest-growing businesses and one of the top 20 fastest-growing people services firms in the UK. MRG was also listed in the prestigious Financial Times 1000, recognised as the fastest-growing recruitment firm on the list.
"We are particularly excited to further expand our work within the renewables sector," added Iain McBride. "The Aberdeen office will play a key role in connecting talent with opportunities in this rapidly growing market, both in the UK and internationally."
Recruitment for the Aberdeen office has begun with MRG currently seeking talented individuals who share their passion for connecting the right people with the right opportunities.
MRG is also set to expand further with a new office in Manchester due to open in March. For more information on the opportunities available visit: www.macrecruit.co.uk
