Scots Bearings, a leading independent distributor with 60 staff at its Aberdeen HQ, has been acquired by Antifriction Components in a deal worth more than a million pounds.
The merged company will become the largest specialist distributor of bearings, power transmission products and critical moving parts in Scotland.
David Jackson, the founder of Scots Bearings which has sites in Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness and Irvine, will continue as managing director following the seven-figure deal.
Bristol-based Antifriction Components, part of Gruppo Bianchi, has 19 sites across the UK.
