Aberdeen Cyrenians are encouraging companies to join their Harvest campaign by collecting donations at their workplace to support people facing hunger, hardship or homelessness over the winter months. With the recent Aberdeen City Council declaration of Housing Emergency, rising demand for support, and a doubling of children in temporary housing this year, community support is vital to alleviate the distress and impact of crisis.

Last year, communities across Aberdeen City and Shire responded to the campaign creating 92 collections, and donating over £9,000 of meals for people in need. Participating is easy and can be a great activity for staff involvement and engagement as well as ESG community outreach goals. To make it as easy as possible, Aberdeen Cyrenians provides all the resources, templates and guidance needed to make your collection a success. Team building days are also available allowing staff to get hands on experience making a difference.

In addition to their food appeal, Aberdeen Cyrenians are also seeking clothing to keep people warm – particularly men’s warm coats, boots and new underwear are in very short supply.
