Aberdeen-based agency, Hampton, has appointed a new Creative Director as it further strengthens its senior management team.
Simon Shaw joins Hampton with more than 35 years' award-winning industry experience, having worked for a number of London-based agencies and in-house for craft beer phenonomen BrewDog, where he was creative director for 8 years.
As Hampton's creative director he will lead its team of designers and oversee all creative output, spearheading client campaigns and curating innovative content. His leadership will play a pivotal role in driving Hampton’s ambitious growth plans and further establishing the agency as an industry leader.
Hampton, which is based on Aberdeen’s Albyn Place, offers a range of services including design, creative, campaigns and digital solutions.
Commenting on Simon's appointment, Hampton managing director, Skerry Read said: “Creativity is at the heart of everything we do here at Hampton and is what our clients look to us for. Simon brings incredible experience to the role, having worked with some of the world's biggest brands, including Reuters, Lego and New Balance.
“More locally, he was responsible for many of BrewDog's product brands and creative campaigns over the past decade, helping take the business from a small craft beer specialist to a billion-dollar brand.
"It goes without saying that we're really excited to have him on board."
Simon Shaw echoes his enthusiasm, expressing his anticipation for the role: "I'm joining the business at a really exciting time. While our industry continues to change apace with technology transforming the way we work, there's no doubt that there is still a real need for original thinking, creativity and effective design.
"Everyone at Hampton is firmly focused on delivering great work for its clients, and I look forward to helping build on what's already been achieved, while playing my part in taking the agency forward."
Established in 1996, Hampton works with a wide range of clients from a variety of sectors including Harbour Energy, Total Energies, TAQA, Repsol Sinopec, Hydrasun, Duncan & Todd, Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce and Aberdeen Sports Village.
