The first Aberdeen Comedy Festival will run from October 14 – November 5 2016 and feature over 250 comedians performing across over 65 shows in a wide range of venues in the City Centre including some of Aberdeen’s best loved bars, clubs and hotels. The festival is presented by Aberdeen Inspired in partnership with Breakneck Comedy and is kindly sponsored by McGinty’s Meal An’ Ale.
The festival will welcome some of the best comedians in the country to the granite city including Tom Stade, Fred MacAulay, Rob Deering, Ava Vidal, Junior Simpson, Phil Nicol, Shazia Mirza Patrick Monahan, Hardeep Sing Kholi, Seymour Mace and Keith Farnan to name a few.
The aim is simple, to provide the best comedy available for both residents and visitors to Aberdeen to enjoy. Tickets are now available and with a range prices starting at just £3, with the majority of shows priced £10 or under, everyone has a chance to come along to a few shows and enjoy some laughs! In addition, there are also a couple of completely free events to give you a taster of the comedy on offer!
Aberdeen Comedy Festival has partnered with local charity Aberdeen Mental Health and Wellbeing Network and will be collecting donations when the festival kicks off in style with a gala launch event on Friday October 14 at The Tivoli Theatre.
With a special kid’s comedy show for younger audiences along with a selection of ‘Be A Comedian’ workshops for teenagers, the festival aims to spread cheer across the city.
