Aberdeen Cocktail Week launched this week with a fantastic start as hundreds of cocktail enthusiasts braved the wet weather to explore exclusive drinks across the city.
With the weather improving, organisers anticipate thousands more bar visits as attendees make the most of Aberdeen’s vibrant bar scene.
Bars across the city have pulled out all the stops, offering exclusive cocktails only available to wristband holders. The festival has brought a fresh buzz to the local hospitality scene, with both locals and visitors alike eager to discover unique creations at participating venues.
Reflecting on the opening night, Gregor Sey, founder of Aberdeen Cocktail Week, commented: "With the wet weather, I was getting a bit of a flashback to last year, but I’m super chuffed to see people making the most of it and supporting our bars. It’s fantastic to see the city’s cocktail lovers out there, rain or shine, showing love for our local venues.”
Dave, bar manager at Number 10 Bar and Restaurant, also shared his excitement, saying: “Cocktail Week opening night was fantastic! It’s always great to see new faces coming into the bar and having a look at what we have to offer.
"It’s great fun to be able to offer people some exclusive cocktails and hearing all the positive feedback. If the opening night is anything to go by, we can’t wait to see a lot more people popping into our bar to see some awesome cocktails!”
Aberdeen Cocktail Week, which runs until October 23, features over 80 exclusive cocktails at more than 30 participating bars across the city. The festival not only showcases the creativity of local bartenders but also highlights Aberdeen’s ever-evolving bar scene. With improved weather on the horizon, organisers expect a lively weekend ahead.
