As the skies clear and the worst of the weather recedes, the organisers of Aberdeen Cocktail Week are thrilled to announce a second and final extension of this year's festival until Sunday, October 29th, at select venues.
This extension emerged from the proactive suggestions of venues to provide the full experience to the patrons who were impacted by last weekends travel restrictions.
Organisers of Aberdeen Cocktail Week earlier announced an extention until Thursday 26th of October. But, due to longer-than-expected travel restrictions, it meant that hundreds of revellers were still unable to travel to the city until Monday evening. In hopes of giving as many people a taste of Aberdeen’s hospitality as possible a number of venues such as Arcadia, Common Sense, Dusk, Jam Jar, Noose & Monkey, OGV Taproom, The Esslemont, Orchid, Siberia, Resident X and Under The Hammer among others still to be announced, are keeping their doors open for attendees until Sunday, October 19, although due to existing event bookings some limitations may apply.
Festival organiser, Gregor Sey, said “We are dedicated to the well-being and satisfaction of all attendees, staff, and the hospitality community at large. And after reading and replying to countless messages from stranded attendees, I am so happy that we are able to offer this 2nd extension and be able to showcase the citys cocktail culture to those who have been unable to travel or worse, impacted by the weather.”
For those venturing out to partake in the extended festivities, organisers say revelers should continue adherence to any travel safety guidelines. The additional days are an invitation to safely come together, support local venues, and bask in the shared celebration that Aberdeen Cocktail Week aims to foster.
