Two local government by-elections for Aberdeen City Council will be held on Thursday, October 1.

One new member will be elected for the Midstocket/Rosemount ward and one for the George Street/Harbour ward.

The vacancies were created by the resignations of unaligned councillor Fraser Forsyth and SNP member Andrew May.

Mr Forsyth represented the Midstocket and Rosemount ward, while Mr May was a ward councillor for George Street and Harbour.

Voting will take place between 7am and 10pm. Votes will be counted at the Town House, Aberdeen, on Friday, October 2.
