The new Aberdeen Beer Festival is a sell-out success even before the keenly-anticipated event is due to take place in the Music Hall next month.
All the tickets for both the afternoon and evening sessions of the event on Saturday, April 12, have been snapped up, to the delight of organisers Fierce Beer.
Dave Grant, founder and managing director of Fierce Beer, said the overwhelming support shown means the Aberdeen Beer Festival could return next year and possibly become an annual event, growing bigger and better in the years to come.
He said: “We couldn’t be happier that we are sold out! We are so grateful to the number of businesses, both local and further afield, that wanted to get involved.
“We would like to thank all of them, and also all of our soon-to-be customers for buying the tickets to come along!
"The unwavering support of the Fierce Family in Aberdeen continues to be second-to-none, and this festival is our thank you to the city. We hope you all enjoy it, and fingers crossed for a renewal next year!”
Dave said Fierce staged the new festival to help the ongoing regeneration of Aberdeen’s city centre – a goal shared by Aberdeen Inspired who are a supporting partner for the event.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “Those who are lucky enough to have snapped up tickets will not only enjoy the festival, but also linger in the city centre to enjoy other attractions, shops, restaurants and bars – and maybe even spend the night in one of the city’s hotels. That can only help boost businesses and the city centre economy.
“The fact it has completely sold out so far ahead of April 12 shows there is a thirst for the Aberdeen Beer Festival – and a clear desire for it be added to the annual calendar of existing and popular events staged in the Granite City all year round.”
Fierce Beer have already secured special rates from a number of local hotels for those coming along to the festival for those who want to make a day and night of the beer festival.
An impressive array of independent brewers are lined up for both sessions of the Aberdeen Beer Festival. Pouring will be:
- Siren

The festival will also feature Red Fin Cider, House of Botanicals, Singularity (formerly Singularity Sauce) and Doric Studio (formerly Doric Skateboards).
