SYOP, an online property portal developed with Imajica technology aimed at saving sellers thousands in fees by cutting out expensive fees has won a place on the prestigious Can Do Scale Programme, which will be led by professors from Harvard and MIT.
The event will mark the first time the two world-class business schools have run a course together anywhere in the world, and is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to set up or grow a global business in Scotland.
Imajica Director Jeff Riley commented: “We have always felt our investment in SYOP would pay dividends and we’re delighted MIT and Harvard have recognised this potential as we head towards our first major investment pitch.”
Bill Aulet, of the Martin Trust Centre at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and Noam Wasserman of Harvard Business School, will lead the four-day course, coaching participants looking to scale up their business.
Kevin Davidson, SYOP Director who will be attending the course added: “Our business aims high and we want to scale-up globally and raise more than £1million of external investment. By learning from the best we hope to be the best and achieve our goal of empowering people globally to sell their own property and cut out the middlemen.”
John Fyfe, Imajica Chairman and SYOP Director added: “As founding investors and technology partners we’re hoping this elite programme will help SYOP fulfil it’s potential and secure long term funding to allow it to become another North-East technology success story. Securing seven figure investment would be a massive achievement and I know Kevin will grasp the opportunity to learn from Bill and Noam with both hands.”
