An iconic Aberdeen theatre and arts venue is seeking two new directors to deliver a vision for the arts in the North-east of Scotland now and in the future.
Aberdeen Arts Centre – celebrating its 60th year in 2024 – is on the lookout for two directors to chart a course for the venue for years to come.
The executive director will provide strategic leadership and business direction, working alongside the programming and creative director, who will oversee the centre’s hugely varied programme of shows, events and exhibitions.
With applications being accepted by the charity until December 8, 2024, the new directors will be responsible for Aberdeen Arts Centre’s extensive programme of theatre, dance, music, spoken word, comedy, creative learning and artist development.
Sharon Robertson, chair of Aberdeen Arts Centre, said: “As Aberdeen Arts Centre enters its seventh decade, this is an exciting opportunity for two experienced professionals to come in and help shape the future of the arts in the North-east.
“While we are known as a theatre venue, that’s only the beginning of what we do for the local community. As well as hosting exhibitions and events throughout the year, we also have an extensive programme of support for professional artists across multiple disciplines, and a variety of classes for both children and adults looking to progress in the arts.
“We’re looking for two individuals who have the drive to showcase the Arts Centre as the jewel in Aberdeen’s creative sector crown, and who are passionate about the arts and their development in the North-east.”
