In late September,10 brave members from across Tysers, a leading independent, specialist Lloyd’s broker, abseiled down the outside of the iconic Lloyd’s building in the heart of London’s insurance district.
The team descended from the top of the building at 88 meters to raise money for its fantastic corporate charity, XLP.
XLP helps over 4,000 young people each year to live more fulfilled lives. The young people the charity works with often struggle with issues such as family breakdown, unemployment and educational failure, and live in areas that experience high levels of anti-social behaviour and gang violence. The charity keeps young people in school and out of gangs through a variety of activities and support.
Tysers has enjoyed several other fundraising events in support of XLP throughout the year, including a quiz night, bake off competition with a team of 10 attending XLP’s very enjoyable annual fundraising dinner.
“XLP is an inspirational organisation that we are delighted to support as our corporate charity in 2024. It has been wonderful to see so many colleagues getting involved in fundraising efforts throughout the year, and we are very proud that Tysers matches every penny raised by employees for the charity,” David Abraham, COO Tysers and executive sponsor of Tysers’ charity initiatives.
