Not just a ‘chip and run’ was the verdict of guests attending the recent Grampian Food Forum Dining Club held at Trump International Golf Links near Balmedie on Monday, November 9.
Over 70 Forum members had the welcome opportunity for information exchange within the Clubhouse and Brasserie before being seated to enjoy an imaginative six course taster menu celebrating the theme of Scotland.
The courses, which underpinned some of the excellent skills available within the kitchen, included such delights as Speyside pork terrine, compressed apple and white pudding bonbons followed by a hazelnut chocolate ganache served with caramelised white chocolate and blood orange sorbet.
Commenting on the evening, Food & Beverage Manager Chris Hodgens said: “On behalf of my fellow colleagues at Trump International Golf Links we were thrilled to host the 39th Dining Club.
“We know that the Forum is held in high regard and we were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the level of excellence that you would expect with a five star dining experience.”
Stuart Common, Commercial Director with Mackie’s of Scotland, represented the Grampian Food Forum for the evening and introduced guest speaker Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President at Trump International.
Ms Malone gave the members present an interesting insight into the world class facilities and its achievements to date.
