A restaurant specialising in Indian and Nepalese cuisine has been shortlisted in an awards scheme run by a popular Scottish lifestyle magazine.
Aberdeen’s 8848 Restaurant has been nominated in the Around the World category in the Aberdeen section in the I-on Food and Drink Awards.

8848 tasted national awards success earlier in 2016 as it won the Best of Aberdeen accolade at the Scottish Curry Awards as well as being named runner up in the Best Indian Restaurant category at the Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards.
The restaurant opened its doors in Aberdeen in January 2015 and offers an extensive menu of traditional Indian and Nepalese cuisine with produce sourced from local suppliers across the region.
The city centre-based eatery can seat up to 75 people in its main dining area and can hold functions in a private area with a separate bar for up to 30 guests.
8848 is open 2pm until 10pm from Sundays to Thursdays and 2pm until 10.30pm from Fridays to Mondays. Lunch, à la carte and all-day tapas menus are available.
